#DVMISSION23 Things to Come – this year’s obstructions are…

For the 18th edition of #DVMISSION23 we are going to be celebrating our coming of age with the wildest party you can imagine at our gala screening and awards ceremony on Saturday 11th March.

We will be enjoying the hospitality of the Wedgewood Rooms for our birthday celebrations and we want to make it a very special night so we ask that you dress for the occasion. That means dress as though are going to the Oscars. So dress to impress or fancy dress. Don’t let us down!

Meanwhile, this year’s obstructions are:

Genre: space opera

Title: The [insert your idea here] Chronicles

Dialogue: “don’t lean on me man, you can’t afford the ticket”

Additional Obstruction: no trailers, no behind-the-scenes, no excerpts, no expositional voice of god voiceover, no expositional rolling titles aka Star Wars, just a space opera in 2 minutes with a beginning, middle and end!

Obstruction for previous winners: an alien or an android or preferably both

Any film that meets the Bechdel test will get an extra prize!

While you are making your film we also ask that you take some BEHIND THE SCENES photos and post them to social media using the hashtag #DVMISSION23 which will tag the post on our social wall.

Don’t forget to upload your film by 5 pm on Sunday and until then happy filmmaking and we will see you on the other side.
