VersusMedia distribution deal munches through the DVMISSION back catalogue

DVMISSION is excited to announce that a sponsorship deal with streaming service VersusMedia will see the entire back catalogue available through their unique tie-ins with popular media streaming services such as Roku, Apple TV, Opera TV, Xioami, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV. This means that viewers of these services will be able to stream DVMISSION content directly to their TV’s and other devices.

VersusMedia have been pioneering independent networking for over 15 years and are well known for their efforts to connect filmmakers with musicians. Now their platform also streams some of the best independently produced films, documentaries, and music videos all from VersusMedia’s impressive client database.

Ryan Vinson, the founder of VersusMedia, is enthusiastic about promoting of work by independent filmmakers and has got right behind DVMISSION, sponsoring the SPIRT OF DVMISSION award for the 2018 challenge.

Ryan believes that independent filmmakers are not getting noticed as much as they should be and he hopes that VersusMedia can offer them a platform through the use of non-exclusive licenses, that will bring their work to a world-wide audience. The platform embraces productions of every budget, from film school students to larger independent studios. So that seems like a great opportunity for DVMISSION challengers.

As we upload the pool of DVMISSION films from the last 11 years, some 200 short movies, you will be able to access them via the VersusMedia platform. In addition, we will be uploading all of this year’s 2018 challenge films immediately after the awards night on the 17th March.

If you haven’t already registered a team for this year’s 48 Hour Film Challenge there is still plenty of time to sign up. Just get over to filmfreeway.com/DVMISSION18 a “press the button”!
