Southampton Film Week & DVMISSION “10 Years and still rolling!”

DVMISSION: 10 Years and still rolling!

A night of 48-hour movie hijinks and a screening of the best of ten years of local filmmaking.

DVMISSION is the mother of all 48-hour film challenges on the south coast. Since it started in 2006 over 250 films have been submitted and thousands of local filmmakers have taken the challenge. Some of our challengers have been taking part every year since 2006 and many have gone on to set up and run their own 48-hour film challenges. This year DVMISSION has taken time out to refocus, reframe and get ready to reshoot in March 2017. So, not wishing to miss the opportunity to screen some amazing short films in 2016, DVMISSION brings to Southampton Film Week a compilation of the very best of the films entered into the challenge over the last 10 years. Chosen by the Mission Director (2006-2015) Jinx Prowse, our expert panel of judges will award prizes for the Decennial Spirit of DVMISSION as well as a prize for the Very Very Very Best Film from the selection. Don’t miss this extraordinary celebration of local filmmaking and join in with the legendary DVMISSION after party.

Dress Code (will be enforced): costume de rigueur for carnival, themed, blinged, cocktail, black tie, white tie, mobster.
